Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary Papczyński, O.I.C. (May 18, 1631 – September 17, 1701), was a Polish Catholic priest, initially a member of the Piarist Order, who went on to become the founder of the Marian Fathers the first Polish religious order for men. He has been beatified by the Roman Catholic Church. Papczyński is remembered as a religious writer. == Early life == He was born Jan Papczyński on May 18, 1631, in the village of Podegrodzie, now near Stary Sącz, the youngest of the eight children of Tomasz Papczyński and Zofia Tacikowska. His father was a local blacksmith and the village bailiff. As a youngster, he cared for his father's herd of sheep and came to know the countryside well. 〔("Blessed Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary Papczyński (1631-1701) Founder of The Marians", Marians of the Immaculate Conception )〕 Papka's first beginnings with school gave no indication of his later career as an academic. He had difficulty with studies, nevertheless he mastered his temperament, overcame material problems associated with his social standing, and advanced in studies, graduating from one school to another: in Podegrodzie, then in Nowy Sacz. At the age of fifteen he entered the Jesuit College at Jaroslaw, the Piarist College of Podoliniec in 1649, and in 1650 the Jesuit College of Lvov, from which he was forced to flee due to an attack by Cossack troops. At the age of twenty-three he completed his general and philosophical studies at the Jesuit College of Rawa Mazowiecka.〔 He is described him as a tall, slender young man, with a swarthy complexion, tall forehead and deep, pensive eyes gazing from under his eyebrows.〔(Rogalewsky M.I.C., Tadeusz. ''Lumen Marianorum: Stanislaus Papczynski'', translated by Paul and Ewa St. Jean, Marian Press, Stockbridge, Massachusetts, 2012 )〕 His father died while Jan was studying in Lvov. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Stanislaus Papczyński」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
